I was not expecting this headline to be coming from Boston! But apparently East Boston (Eastie to those in the know) has developed into quite a cycling community. And Boston Bike Rental offers a range of fun biking options. Tandems, e-bikes, even Surrey cycles. Very cool.

There are many ways cycling can be made safer for cyclists. Dedicated bike lanes. More aware and generous drivers. And also data - real-time reporting via Bike Maps. Created by UCSB data scientist Trisalyn Nelson, Bike Maps is a community engagement tool that allows bicyclists to map out and identify data on bicycle collisions, hazards and other safety amenities anonymously. Communities can then use that data to identify, and improve, problem areas.
Autism Society’s bike clinic returns to teach individuals with disabilities to ride

The Autism Society of Boulder is helping more people experience the wonders of bikes through their iCanShine Bike clinic.
